Carl Zeiss (Oberkochen) lenses for Rolleiflex SL35 (QBM) Series
In the first years of QBM-1 and -2 series all were made in Germany and marked Carl Zeiss, later Carl Zeiss HFT. It was suggested they were made by Zeiss in Oberkochen but most evidently they were build in Braunschweig at Voigtländer Optical Works, like they did with the Icarex lenses also labelled Carl Zeiss. Even later production for most lenses was transferred to Rollei Singapore under Zeiss license (Planar, Distagon, Sonnar HFT Made by Rollei,  Made in Singapore). Obviously machine tools were transferred to Singapore as well (around 1973?). The more expensive lense series were kept to build in Germany under Rollei or Carl Zeiss name. In the second series (rubberished rings) very few lenses were actually made in Germany. With takeover of
Optical Works Voigtländer by Rollei (1972) their old design names Color-Skoparex (wideangle), Color-Ultron (50mm) and Color-Dynarex (telephoto) were also absorbed and used, but just as additional labels for the lens designs

One of the most compact SLR short telephoto lenses ever build: same size and weight as the 1.8/50mm. Origin from "Contaflex 126" (28x28mm) lens 1967. Here the "Voigtländer Color-Dynarex" labeled version (QBM-2, Made in West-Germany, about 1975).

Actually the Sonnar 2.8/135mm isn't much bigger than the one stop slower Tele-Tessar. Series 1 QBM-II 2.8/135 (~1974) vs. QBM-I 4/135 (~1971) in comparison. Both are very fine German made lenses
